筑波大学教授退職記念 玉川信一展 —雨が止んだ庭— 2019年1月16日(水)～2019年3月30日(土)
1985年着任以後、約34年間にわたって洋画分野における教育・研究の進展に尽力された玉川信一教授が、平成31年3月末日をもって定年退職されます。
退職記念行事の一環として「筑波大学教授退職記念 玉川信一展 —雨が止んだ庭—」を開催いたします。
本展では、玉川教授の学生時代の素描から未発表の新作500号までの作品約80点を 学内外の３会場（筑波大学大学会館アートスペース・芸術系ギャラリー・茨城県つくば美術館）にて展示します。

※2月9日（土）は、館内の空調設備修理のためアートスペースを臨時休館とさせていただきます。

大学会館アートスペース展示風景
Professor Shin-ichi Tamagawa, who has been dedicated to the development of education and research in the field of Western-style painting for 34 years since being appointed in 1985, will be retiring at the end of March 2019.
“A Celebration of the Retirement of a University of Tsukuba Professor Shin-ichi Tamagawa Exhibition—The garden where the rain stopped—” is being held as one of the events commemorating the retirement of Professor Tamagawa.
This exhibition will feature around 80 works, ranging from Professor Tamagawa’s sketches from his student days to his new, unpublished piece (size #500, 248.5×333.3 cm). These will be displayed across three locations inside and outside the campus (University of Tsukuba University Hall Art Space, the Art and Design Gallery, and the Tsukuba Museum of Art, Ibaraki).

On Saturday, February 9, the Art Space will be temporarily closed for repairs to the air conditioning unit inside the hall.

Professor Tamagawa’s number 500 refers not to the number of the work, but to the size of the canvas.
