The Contemporary Art Center in the Art Tower Mito is well-known by its wide varieties of education programs as well as its unique exhibitions on contemporary art. Among them, workshops by artists, special weeks for high school students, collaborative sessions for viewing art with visually impaired people, and one of the earliest set up of volunteer activities in Japan are the main features of the Center. Junko Moriyama, who has developed the education programs of the Center since its opening, talks on the Center’s diverse involvements with people.
