For Prospective International Students
The Degree Program in Design (DPD), Master’s and Doctoral Program in Design at the University of Tsukuba, welcomes highly motivated international students from around the world who wish to pursue advanced study and research in the field of design.
International students can conduct their studies in a hybrid environment using both Japanese and English, and develop research topics in close consultation with faculty supervisors.
Our Approach to International Students
The Degree Program in Design actively welcomes international students from diverse cultural and academic backgrounds.
- Study and research are conducted in a hybrid Japanese–English environment
- Research topics are flexibly set in consultation with academic supervisors
- Students join us from a wide range of fields, including art, design, engineering, and related disciplines
- Individual research supervision is provided by faculty members in the program
