Professor Faculty of Art and Design
Since the 2020 academic year, our graduate school has transitioned to an educational system centered on degree programs, enabling faculty members from a wide range of academic fields to collaborate in education, transcending organizational boundaries. It is expected that this will develop educational and research that goes beyond traditional frameworks, accurately responding to the increasingly sophisticated and diverse needs for human resource development in today’s rapidly changing and complex society.
The Arts Studies degree program aims to cultivate highly skilled professionals and researchers who can respond to the diverse developments of contemporary visual arts and play a leading role in society by conducting specialized research in theory and practice related to visual arts from a broad perspective (Master’s Program). Furthermore, it aims to cultivate researchers who possess creative research capabilities in visual arts and can contribute to various fields of society through outstanding specialized knowledge and practical skills, as well as university faculty members with solid teaching and research capabilities (Doctoral Program).
We hope that students will deepen their specialized knowledge and skills in this field, acquire the ability to proactively tackle challenges with a broad international and interdisciplinary perspective, and develop original research.
