解説 Statement
この作品は、2021年から2023年にかけて茨城県常総市のラテンアメリカコミュニティのメンバーと一緒に行った一連の参加型ワークショップから生まれました。デジタルリソースとアナログを使用して作成された画像は、ラテンアメリカのコーヒーを使用してカフェノールで現像され、その後、フォトモンタージュに編集されました。これらのフォトモンタージュは、個々にも共同で作成され、コミュニティの経験や個々の視点を共有しています。プロジェクトの3Dモデルには、異なる時間帯や曜日に撮影された市内の写真や再撮影した写真が含まれており、プリントされた写真の二次元性と訪れた風景との間の中間点を作り出しています。
This work results from a series of participatory workshops conducted with members of the Latin American community in Jōsō in Ibaraki prefecture over 2021-2023. Images were made with digital resources, and analog film was developed in Caffenol using Latin American coffee and then printed to be mended into photomontages. These photomontages were crafted individually and collectively, sharing experiences and individual perspectives of the community. The project’s 3D models, containing photographs and re-photographs of the city made at different times and days, create an intermediate point between the printed photograph’s two-dimensionality and the visited landscape.
