What is the Idea Map?

It is usually difficult to explain what it means to us because we need to analyze our preferences or emotions and to think about the meaning and value of the artwork. Also, it is more difficult for children to think about how to write art appreciation essays.
As children start to question about art, they will gradually start to appreciate actively and independently. At first, they may have vague ideas; however, they will be able to have clear understanding in the course of logical thinking and finding the basis for their ideas. In the “Idea Map” exercise, it is important to encourage children to question about art and to practice a structured way of thinking.
