Introduction to Western movies(Star, total 10 weeks, 1st year)
The course will discuss the significance, characteristics, and other aspects of paintings in accordance with the flow of art history, while analyzing the basic elements that go into the making of a painting. In the second half, the course will discuss the development of Japanese Western-style paintings since the Meiji period, as well as the issues that have arisen up to the present day.
painting technique theory (Bussan, Fukumitsu, Yamamoto (Japanese painting), 10 weeks in total, second year)
This course will explain the mechanisms and formulations of the base materials, primers, media, pigments, etc. that make up a painting. With a view to applying and developing more specialized and practical techniques, it will introduce and explain specific examples of the techniques used in a variety of works, from classical to contemporary.
Western film concept theory(Fukumitsu, total 10 weeks, 2nd-3rd year)
This course will provide a general and detailed explanation of the concept behind the creation of Western-style paintings. It will consider the meaning of the concept that is the core of the production, and will explain the flexible and wide-ranging imagination in terms of the opportunity, form, and method of thinking, while touching on concrete examples.
