This symposium will consider the following points: how to get people overseas to read manga, what points artists and those involved in manga should consider in order to achieve this, and what "qualities" manga needs to transcend national borders.
This is a program where you can enjoy manga research all day long, with story creation and drawing workshops led by manga artists from Quebec, Canada in the morning, and a lecture and roundtable discussion by bande dessinée researcher and translator Masato Hara in the afternoon!

This is a workshop by six manga artists from Quebec and bande dessinées translator Hara Masato.
There are three courses: Story Creation, Drawing, and Introduction to Bande Dessinée. Advance registration is required.
