What is Titus?

Tsukuba University Art Gallery T+ is a gallery run mainly by students of the College of Art and Design at the University of Tsukuba. In response to growing calls from students for a gallery, plans to establish one began in 2000, and the gallery opened in September 2001 as the "Geisen Gallery." It is used weekly as a venue for art students, faculty, and staff to present their work.
The T in T+ stands for University of Tsukuba, and represents our desire to bring about positive change through this gallery, which serves as a place of creativity and dissemination.

Activities

  • Exhibition of works by students, faculty, and staff
T+ is a free gallery that can be rented by any student of the arts college. It is glass-walled along the pedestrian street, so it has a great appeal to the outside world! Exhibitions of various genres are held every week.
  • Art information provided by T+ staff
Currently, the T+ staff are volunteer students from the School of Art and Design. In addition to managing the gallery, we aim to disseminate information about art related to the University of Tsukuba and to act as a bridge between the University of Tsukuba and other schools and local residents. Currently, the staff are 4th to XNUMXnd year students. Their majors are diverse, including art studies, composition, design, and fine arts.
