T+review
Attracted by the cute title "Rabbit Exhibition" and the fluffy exhibits peeking out from the banner, I entered the gallery. On two shelves, each with three tiers, were colorful stuffed rabbits. Some had droopy ears, some had sleepy eyes, some wore glasses, some had little crowns. None of them looked the same. They were all dressed up and lined up like they were waiting for some stranger to take them.
Their name is "neighbor." The rabbits were created to be close to someone's heart, meaning neighbors in their hearts. Their faces only have eyes, so their expressions are not clear, but from their warmth I could feel the immense love of the creator. They must have been made with great care, spending a lot of time on them. As part of the concept of the upcoming art festival, they will be sold and separated. It seems a little wasteful, but this is also what the creator wanted. They seemed to be looking forward to it. These rabbits, exhibited here, receiving all the love from their parents, will surely be close to that person's heart and deliver warm feelings when they leave their parents' hands and are adopted by someone.
I left the gallery with the intention of going to see them again at the art festival. I hope that the one I had secretly chosen as my favorite would also take a place in my heart. (Fumika Horikoshi)
