From May to June 2025, I traveled along the JR San'in Main Line in Shimane Prefecture, visiting each station and recording the surrounding scenery.
Depopulation and population decline in rural areas is one of the major issues facing Japan today.
We hope that through this series, you will be able to enjoy the scenery of Shimane's naturally rich countryside, while also giving you an opportunity to think about the current situation facing rural areas.
