We will have a talk session with writer Ario Kawauchi as a guest, and T+ staff students will talk about the contemporary artist Cai Guo-Qiang, who has ties to Tsukuba University, and Kawauchi's book "Giant in the Sky." Anyone can listen to the talk for free.

Guest profile

Ario Kawauchi
Born in Tokyo in 1972. Graduated from Nihon University College of Art, Department of Broadcasting. Completed graduate studies at Georgetown University. After working for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), he became a freelance writer. In 2013, he won the 33rd Nitta Jiro Literary Award for "Looking for Baul" (Gentosha). In 2018, he won the 16th Kaiko Takeshi Non-Fiction Award for "The Giant in the Sky."
