Thinking of the floating things,
It's like autumn
Under the guidance of Professor Takashi Morioka, I copied the existing parts of the "Sunshoan Shikishi" (originally bound in neba) while I was a master's student, and also restored one of the pages that had been lost. I used a handmade dictionary as a base, but since there were only 1363 examples of characters remaining, it was difficult to process the continuity.
The section on display is from Volume 211 of the Kokin Wakashu, where three poems, 213 to 3, were written. Because cut marks can be seen in the center of the paper for poem 212, which still exists, and because what appears to be copies of the original calligraphy for poems 211 and 213 remain, I followed the theory that the three poems were written on a double-page spread. However, after some time has passed and I have looked at it objectively, I think that the way the pages were arranged could have been a little more creative.
