The source of the power is in the front of the flower. From today onwards, the Buddha's blessing will flourish.

This poem is included in the "Todaiji Yoroku" and is one of three poems offered by monks of Gangoji Temple at the ceremony to open the eyes of the Great Buddha of Todaiji Temple.

The original text is also written in Man'yōgana, with one character per sound, but it is written in the style of the Shosoin Man'yōgana documents and the Buddha's Footprint Song Monument, and in the style of the same documents and the Naniwa-tsu Song Doodles on the Five-Story Pagoda of Horyu-ji Temple.

The inscription was made using recycled paper and old ink, and the signature was the "Doka no In", a single character and sound reminiscent of old Yamato seals.
