Fujiwara no Yukinari's Poetry Scroll

When Fujiwara no Yukinari (972-1028) was 47 years old, he copied a portion of a poem written by the Chinese poet Bai Juyi from Volume 65 to Chapter 8 of the Collected Works of Bai Juyi. The calligraphy is done in a Japanese style of side brushstrokes, with the brush slightly tilted, and the soft turning points are neat but light-hearted.
