I copied the Sekidohon Kokinshu. It is a section with four songs about the hototogisu, which migrates to Japan at this time of year. I felt an uncanny affinity for the hototogisu, and it turns out that the hototogisu is the prefectural bird of my hometown, Kagawa Prefecture.
Preface to the Sacred Teachings of Linji
