Study abroad (exchange partner school)

Each arts organization, including the College of Fine Arts, actively engages in student exchanges with overseas universities. With our international exchange partner universities, we are actively promoting the dispatch of international students from the University of Tsukuba and the acceptance of international students from partner universities.

Arts organizations have departmental exchange agreements with universities around the world. In addition, among the partner schools with which we have concluded exchanges, we have a track record of exchanges with universities that have extensive arts-related educational programs. For exchange study abroad at partner schools, mechanisms such as non-collection of tuition fees and transfer of credits are in place.

At the University of Tsukuba, we offer exchange programs, a campus-in-campus system where campus functions are shared with partner schools and subjects can be exchanged, short-term overseas research and training programs, language study abroad, and overseas study abroad programs. There is a wide range of scholarship programs available for students to participate in academic conferences, such as the ``Study Abroad Support Project (Habatake! Chiku University Students)''.

Over the three years from 2021 to 2023, 3 students have participated in short-term study abroad programs of about six months to a year through exchange programs and campus-in-campus programs at international partner universities. In addition, 20 students participated in shorter overseas training programs (overseas practical training/exercises, language training, etc.). These participants received various support systems, including scholarships. We encourage you to try out various forms of overseas experiences.
