University of Tsukuba College of Art, 2020 new students
[Our #Amabie expression]
This year, entrance ceremonies at universities across the country have been canceled and the start of classes has been postponed. The 104 first-year students who enrolled in the University of Tsukuba College of Art have also been forced to wait, and to this day they have not met even once.
On this occasion,[Our #Amabie expression]The works shown here were created and submitted by first-year students enrolled in the University of Tsukuba College of Art as an assignment for new student orientation.
When assigning this assignment, I told the students, ``Instead of just standing still in a society stagnant due to self-restraint and restrictions, let's do what we can.You have the weapon of [expressing] your thoughts. There is a message.
The students created the work within a limited time.I didn't have enough tools on hand, and I was working under many constraints. Also, even though they have passed the university entrance exam, they have not taken university classes or exercises. Therefore, I hope you understand that this is a clumsy expression.
I hope that by the time the current situation has calmed down and I have learned a variety of things over the course of four years and produced my graduation project, a safe society will have returned where I can fondly remember the work I have published here and the situation at the time. Masu.
