Comprehensive Creative Creation Seminar / Contemporary Art Expression Seminar Result Exhibition "Separate Creation"
An exhibition of works by students enrolled in the "Comprehensive Creative Creation Seminar I," "Comprehensive Creative Creation Seminar II," and "Contemporary Art Expression Seminar" courses taught by Assistant Professor Koichiro Azuma (Comprehensive Creative Design), who is affiliated with the Faculty of Art at our university, will be held.
The title "Half-Genesis" was inspired by works such as Koichiro Kokubun's "The World of Middle Voice." Middle voice is a coined word that indicates an action that cannot be captured by the division of "doing" and "being done." This exhibition aims to reinterpret the act of creation as a process of creation that is neither completely controlled by the artist nor entirely entrusted to an external entity, but rather as an in-between process.
This exhibition features "different elements" such as materials, collaboration, and location, but the works are not just based on the artist's intentions; they are half-done, half-generated, with multiple elements involved. We hope you will enjoy the diverse expressions, not only the finished products, but also the interrelationships and processes involved.
