Visual Communication Design

What we pursue in the field of visual design is design related to media that conveys content aesthetically and effectively through visual and formative means.In other words, we study book design, picture books/manga, photo media, branding design, package design, illustration, editorial design, advertising design, typography, typeface design, etc.

The basic educational policies of this field are the integration of theory and practice, respect for diversity, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.We set a problem based on a concrete phenomenon, approach it theoretically, and seek creative solutions.We aim to develop creators and researchers who can proactively and sustainably tackle various issues in local and international society.

Career path for graduates

Graduates find employment in advertising agencies, design production companies, publishing companies, newspaper companies, printing companies, advertising and planning departments of various companies, government offices, etc., and are also active as designers, illustrators, and picture book authors.Many also go on to doctoral courses and go on to work as researchers at universities and other institutions.
