I am majoring in the history of Chinese calligraphy.Up until now, our focus has been on the modern era, with particular emphasis on tracing the historical development of theories written at that time.Recently, I have been interested in the reception of Chinese calligraphy in Japan, Korea, and Korea, and am looking at the broader trends in calligraphy in modern East Asia.As part of this effort, I organized a research project on the themes of the formation of networks surrounding calligraphy and the nature of associations, and was also involved in organizing an international symposium.
