Based on the knowledge of mastery in learning science, we independently constructed a thinking visualization strategy model from the perspective of appreciation skills to support deepening of thinking in art appreciation learning, and developed support tools and learning formats that make use of this model. We are empirically investigating the effects and challenges. In particular, we are developing a digital appreciation support tool to encourage metacognitive support by utilizing the perspective of appreciation skills, which we devised from the elements of artworks and the factors of appreciation behavior, to monitor and control the art appreciation process.
