Work description:
Before the war, Osawa liked to paint landscapes with figures, but after the war his style gradually became more abstract and he began to create collages.This work was one of the works exhibited at the ``Osawa Shosuke Collage Exhibition,'' a solo exhibition held at Keikodo Gallery in Osaka in 1984.To the right of the center of the screen, a piece of black paper is pasted on a white background, as if it were being cut left and right, and part of it is cut out in the shape of a human.Additionally, there is a piece of green paper pasted on that area that resembles a woman wearing a skirt.A fence-like line is drawn with brown storyboard, and on the left side of the line is pasted a section cut out from the black center, forming the shadow of this person.A similar expression can be seen, for example, in the 1996 oil painting ``The sky is dark, the sea is dark, and the earth is dark, people wander and encounter'', but the contrast between the white figure and its shadow is In each of his works, the screen is filled with silence, and they also seem to emphasize human loneliness.
