Explanation:
There are several types of Kokutani, including Gosai-te, Hyakuka-te, and Shonzuide.Aote is one of these, and is a pattern that is densely painted in rich colors, and then painted mainly in green.This work dates from around the 1650s.The surface of the plate is painted yellow, and inside is a square white frame so large that its four corners touch the edges.Around the frame is a wave pattern painted in green.There is also a cloisonné pattern obi on the inside, with blue and yellow sections in the center of each of the four sides, each with a flower pattern.Furthermore, a rocky mountain with pine trees and a human house surrounded by waves are depicted in green and purple, separated by green squares.The entire back side is painted in line color, and the cloud pattern is expressed with black lines.
