Tsushima Survey August 2022

I went to Tsushima in Nagasaki Prefecture to investigate.

The purpose is to make preliminary arrangements for the thermal environment survey scheduled to be conducted next month, and to survey the current situation of Koya.

The last time I visited Tsushima was in the summer of 2019, before the coronavirus pandemic.

That was three years ago.

Only 3 years?Already 3 years ago? ?

In this survey, I felt the reality that the village landscape of Tsushima is changing.

The appearance of the gunkura along the river in the Kune countryside has changed.
I feel that the number of Koya has decreased in Gunkura in the Kune countryside as well.
This time, I think I often saw onions being dried.
There are also onions in the stone-roofed khoya.
The Shiine Gunkura doesn't seem to have changed much from three years ago, but the way it has been arranged for preservation is probably different from what it used to be.

Tokushima Survey September 2022

I went to Tokushima Prefecture to investigate ``mise-zukuri''.

This time it was a joint investigation with Professor Kobayashi, an associate professor at Shimane University.

This is a supplementary survey to the field survey conducted in March.

Despite the weather forecast calling for rain, we managed to carry out the survey we had planned.

Amami Survey August 2022

I went to Amami Oshima to do some research.

This time, it was a joint investigation between Professor Watanabe of Daido University and Professor Ishi of Meijo University.

We have conducted actual measurement surveys of the thermal environment and ultraviolet rays environment of Takakura, which has been relocated and preserved in front of Ryugakukan in Tatsugo Town.

We conducted a survey here last year, but unfortunately it was rainy.

So, it's revenge.

It was cloudy and raining at times when we arrived this time, but we managed to get some data on a clear day.

I basically stayed in the shade, but I still got sunburned quite a bit.

The sun in Amami is intense.

We took a group photo in front of Takakura.
Group photo taken by Mr. Watanabe.I dare to say Naname.
