Graduation Ceremony 2019

Today, the graduation ceremony and completion ceremony of the University of Tsukuba was held.

Two people from Hashimoto's laboratory graduated, and two received doctoral degrees.

The two students who graduated from the school will go on to graduate school.

The University of Tsukuba also held a scaled-down ceremony to prevent the coronavirus.

In the School of Arts, students received diplomas for each area in a classroom of memories, an experience that is not normally possible.

I think this has become a memory.

The graduation ceremony for the Graduate School of Fine Arts was divided into two parts, with seats separated.

Mr. Ima-kun was in charge of conferring the degree as a representative of the graduates of the doctoral course.

Kurihara-kun received the Meikeikai Award in recognition of his activities while attending school.

The paper has been published [Humans and Living Environment Vol. 26 No. 2]

Fujishiro Survey Spring 2020

A while ago, I investigated the existing status of traditional folk houses in the Fujishiro district of Toride City.

Mizuya and mizuzuka can be seen in Fujishiro, which is a frequent flood-prone area.

We spent several days touring the area, referring to a survey report from about 30 years ago.

Most of the thatched houses have disappeared, but there are still some water houses left.

Some of them are interesting as they are not just disaster prevention facilities, but are designed as part of the garden.

The hedges of white oak, dogwood, masaki, and camellia were also impressive.
