Tree seminar has started

Today was a joint design seminar for graduation research.

It is commonly called ``Thursday Seminar'' because it is held mainly on Thursdays.

Tree seminars include those that combine design (information/product design, environmental design, and architectural design), those that combine two fields (environmental design and architectural design), and those that only focus on environmental design.

The content of this time was the presentation of the theme of the graduation research.

This year, two students in Hashimoto's laboratory, Mr. Urakawa and Mr. Mizuhata, are undertaking graduation research.

This was the first time for both of them to present at a tree seminar, and both the presentation and question and answer session went well.

I think this is the result of the hard work of the two of us and the advice of our seniors.

A scene from the “Tree Seminar.”Presenting in front of a large group is a good experience for students.Another feature of the University of Tsukuba College of Art's Design Department is that you can receive questions, advice, and comments from design teachers from various fields.

Entrance ceremony 2019

Today was the entrance ceremony of the University of Tsukuba.

Congratulations to all new students on your admission!

Orientation for the College of Arts.
I'm glad there are still cherry blossoms left.

Kakeroma Island Survey 2019 Spring Part XNUMX

This time, I would like to introduce examples of rest spaces and community spaces that utilize the shade of giant trees, etc., that I discovered during my research.

It feels like the summer heat in Japan is getting more intense every year due to global warming and the heat island effect, but I think if there were spaces like this in cities, people could enjoy the summer heat. I wonder what you think?

Environmental design

Starting this year, I will be in charge of "Environmental Design" for both the graduate school and the undergraduate school.

We are looking forward to hearing from you.

I will work hard like a horse transporter.
