The UTAC Ishii Collection website has been updated.

The UTAC University of Tsukuba Art Collection, consisting of over 600 works, is the only full-fledged art collection at a national university. As part of this, we have updated the official website that provides an online catalog of all the works in the "Ishii Collection" donated by Akira Ishii.

The Ishii Collection, which consists of over 200 paintings and ceramics, is on permanent display at the University of Tsukuba Gallery in the University Hall. There are also special exhibits on the second floor of the Joyo Bank Kenkyu Gakuen Toshi Branch and in the gallery in the Tsukuba Bank Headquarters Building.

In addition, in June 2019, we will hold an exhibition and related workshops featuring two printmakers, Tetsuro Komai and Takifumi Kiyomiya, and in July, we will focus on an anthology of poems by surrealist Yves Tanguy called Anti-Brain. We will be holding an exhibition of illustrations and prints by the three artists included in a limited edition of 6 books published in 7, as well as a public study group, at the University Hall Art Space.
