We have replaced the works in the art collection special exhibition at the Taigei Library.

In the art field, since December last year, a special exhibition of the ``University of Tsukuba Art Collection'' has been held in front of the counter on the second floor of the Taigei Library.Professor Emeritus Morio Shinoda's 《TC6106》Thank you for visiting our website. We have now replaced that work with ``Fukami,'' (purchased after winning the 2007 Meikeikai Prize), a graduation work from the School of Art by Akiko Endo, a glass artist from our university.

Mr. Endo, who studied in the craft field of the College of Fine Arts and the Graduate School of Human Sciences' Master's Program in Art, has consistently used an electric furnace (kiln) to pour glass into fireproof plaster molds and heat them. We are working on the technique of "kiln work", which involves transforming and casting. ``Deep'' was originally a work consisting of six pieces and four parts, but this time, with the permission of the artist, only two parts made up of three pieces are on display.
