Opening remarks

Degree Program Leader Toshihiro Hanasato

Good morning.
My name is Toshihiro Hanasato, and I am the program leader for the Design Studies degree program.Thank you for your cooperation today. Before the briefing, I would like to say a few words.

There are a total of 3 students who applied for this information session today. The total number of applicants is 18+5, which is 23 people, including the master's and doctoral degrees of graduate school. The magnification is just over 2x.The actual multiplier on the day of the exam is likely to be about XNUMXx, so please do your best to take the exam.

We are a young family, only in our second year of the Design Degree Program.According to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, it is a newly constructed graduate school of design that has not yet reached its completion year.Although it is a quiet university, there are quite a lot of things going on.In particular, we are focusing on overseas expansion.Studying abroad among graduate students is becoming commonplace.
Now, regarding today's schedule, this is a compact summary.First, I will explain the three major policies of this degree program. There are three policies: diploma policy, curriculum policy, and admission policy. We will explain each of these three policies, namely the requirements for degrees, the structure of classes and seminars, and the entrance examination.I then explain what life in graduate school is like, and that's the end of the first half.We plan to spend about 3 hour so far.
The next hour or so will be spent visiting the lab. When visiting the laboratory, you can talk with faculty members.Just tell them what you want to do and see how they react.
The above is a brief message from the program leader.
That's it for today's schedule.Do you have any questions?

A word from me.These are the words of Professor Clark of Hokkaido University. ``Boys, be ambitious.'' Following that, I would like to say the following.

Boys, be ambitious! draw your chart, or design your life plans as prescisely as possible, as large as possible. And you will find your own way.

So let's make today a meaningful day for both of us.
