Play and experience design born from realizations in everyday life

Our research theme is to explore "fun" and "fun experiences" in our daily lives, generate new ideas, and turn them into real-life experiences.
Although the members of the lab are not necessarily technology experts, they utilize hardware and software prototyping tools to rapidly materialize ideas. They then verify and improve the experience through experiments and exhibits to ensure that it is intuitive and comfortable for users, and refine the experience to perfect it.
This process is not only applied to entertainment design, which brings surprise and delight to people, but also to the fields of education and rehabilitation. For example, we are conducting practical research by developing learning support systems that incorporate elements of play and rehabilitation tools that are fun to use.
Furthermore, in order to develop the project into a more advanced one, we are actively collaborating with researchers in the fields of engineering and medicine/welfare.
