It is known that our cognition and behavior are greatly influenced by changes in the external world, changes in our internal state, and individual characteristics, and are not necessarily rational. On the other hand, in recent years, technology that applies brain function measurement to product planning has been in the spotlight. We are researching technology to quantitatively evaluate human subjective sensations by making full use of various brain activity and cognitive function measurement techniques. In particular, we use the latest brain function research tools, such as high-precision visualization of brain activity using MRI and electroencephalograms and neural network dynamics analysis technology, to advance basic research on human cognitive brain function, and to develop products and services. We aim to develop technology that supports the optimization of planning, development, and provision methods.

Main research themes

Research on quantitative evaluation technology for subjective sensations
Research on product/service evaluation methods based on brain activity
Research on multimodal neuroimaging technology
Research on the brain-cognitive basis of personality and individual differences
