Comment from Professor Takeshi Maeshiba "Arrange, stack, and assemble" clay balls.19It has been years since I started my research, and all of my works are based on this idea. It is not difficult to understand at all. This is because the research theme at Maeshiba University is something that is emphasized in the arts education for the lower grades of elementary school. Forms are created from masses, and from there a wide variety of shapes are born and spread out (Maeshiba Method of Modeling Mass). I have heard that excellent scholarship strengthens artistic qualities, and excellent art is academic. Also, visual arts are the seeds of many different academic disciplines and are also a place of application. In this context, I have been expressing my own thoughts (Maeshiba MethodBy applying the methodology of artistic anatomy (morphological composition of the human body) to the field of artistic anatomy, we hope to widely communicate the centrality of academic and scholarly research to the world through a method of understanding structure and considering composition, and in the process, we have come to see many things. Elements of design seen from the principles of mass composition, logical aspects of design, systems of human perception and thought such as intellect and reason other than sensitivity, structure and composition, basics and fundamentals, spatial art and temporal art, educational methods and teaching methods, lesson design and construction methods, academic theory.... In addition to the above-mentioned content and the sculptures, drawings, and designs that I have created, this exhibition and public production will also feature the highly acclaimed general lectures by the Society of Art Anatomy (Tokyo University of the Arts) and the Art Education Society Project.120I would like to be able to publish a wide range of content, including a 3-minute session lecture (at Kobe University) and some of the content of my classes at university. For the Nitten and Hakujitsukai exhibitions, I have been based at the National Art Center, Tokyo, for the Nitten exhibitions, the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, and for my personal activities, the Osaka City Central Public Hall, an important cultural property, is my base of operations. However, this time I have decided to take a bold step and choose my place of employment, Hyogo University of Teacher Education. I hope that everyone will come to the exhibition and open workshop, experiencing the charm of the lush greenery of Hyogo University of Teacher Education. Also, on June 3rd (afternoon12:00~15:30In addition to myself, we will invite painter Atari Saori, vice president of the Academic Modeling Research Project, and artistic anatomical model Kaito, project manager, to participate in the open production of the model. While the production is open to the public, we will thoroughly explain the logical aspects of modeling in an easy-to-understand manner, and strive to provide a systematic understanding of the essence and fundamentals of modeling. We look forward to seeing you there.
