We are pleased to announce the holding of the "Sakai Hana Exhibition -Small Warmth-" at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store.
I love to throw myself into my futon and cushions and enjoy the time spent sleeping, feeling at peace in both body and mind.
I wanted to give shape to this time of peace in my artwork, and I came up with the motif of a "calm place." Fabric is a symbol of something that gently envelops us and gives us peace of mind, and the teddy bear made from this fabric is also an important presence that accompanies me during times of peace.
This exhibition features works that express this "small warmth" using the warm texture of terracotta. All of the works are one-of-a-kind, hand-formed pieces.
We hope you will take the time to take a look.
Hana Sakai
