- The publication of all submitted manuscripts will be decided by the Geiso Editorial Committee.The editorial committee is comprised of faculty members in charge of the Art History Department of the University of Tsukuba, faculty members from other majors and universities, and museum curators.
- Submitted papers will be reviewed by the Geiso Peer Review Committee.The members of the peer review committee will be appointed by the Geiso Editorial Committee.However, if the editorial committee cannot find a suitable reviewer, the paper will not be reviewed and will be returned to the submitter.At least one reviewer will be appointed from outside the editorial board.Similarly, at least one person should major in a research area closely related to the thesis.Also, those who have a teacher-pupil relationship with the submitter cannot serve as reviewers.
- The editorial committee will appoint two reviewers for each submitted paper.The peer reviewers will make a decision based on the attached "Results of Peer Review" and decide whether to (2) accept, (1) accept after revisions (no need for re-peer review), or (2) accept after revisions (need to re-peer-review). or (3) Rejection. In the case of (4) to (1), provide advice and corrections to the submitter.
- If both reviewers decide that the proposal is (2) accepted or (1) accepted after revision (no need for re-review), this will be considered the peer review result, and the proposal will be accepted after revisions as necessary.Similarly, if both applicants are judged to have been rejected (2), this will be considered the result of the peer review.If one or two reviewers decide that the paper should be accepted after (2) revisions (re-peer review is necessary), a re-peer review will be conducted.If, as a result of re-review, the two reviewers do not reach the same verdict, the decision will be entrusted to a third reviewer.The third reviewer will only decide whether to accept or reject the application, and this will be the result of the review.
- When reviewing a doctoral thesis, the standard of judgment is the level at which it can be cited as a peer-reviewed paper.
- Any unforeseen circumstances other than those listed above shall be left to the decision of the Editorial Committee.
