Summer Vacation Art Marche 2024 was held

The annual Summer Vacation Art Marche 2024 was held in the Sports and Arts area on August XNUMXth and XNUMXth.
We had a lot of people participate. Thank you very much.

We carried out more events than usual, such as Art Day Camp (still life drawing), Art Day Camp (figure drawing), Reborn Art Ball, Let's make a broom, Art medal, Copper sculpture, Art Exploration Team, etc. We were able to see many children having fun making art with their parents, and seriously working on making and appreciating art.
Even when it was a little difficult, we took on the challenge with the advice and help of our instructors and university students.(movie)

The works created and images from the day will be exhibited at the Tsukuba Museum of Art from August 24th to September 1st.(Flyer)
We will be exhibiting works created by the participants, so please come and see the exhibition.

Ryo Morita (PhD student) received the Encouragement Award of the Art Education Award

Ryo Morita (PhD student, supervisor: Kazuhiro Ishizaki) has been awarded the Encouragement Award of the 21st Art Education Award.

The award was selected from papers written by authors aged 44 or younger and published in the 2023th issue of the Society for Art Education Journal, Art Education (published in March 3), and was presented at the Society's 45th Hirosaki Conference on March 2024, 3.

Below are the reasons for the award's selection by the selection committee and Morita's acceptance speech.

Ryo Morita, "Trends in research and practical issues regarding art and craft instruction in special support schools for physically disabled children - A review of domestic literature"

Morita Ryo's paper provides useful knowledge that contributes to the outlook for future research by clarifying the research trends and practical issues in art and craft instruction at special needs schools for physically disabled children. In addition, this is a review paper that has never been nominated for an art education award, but this research has conducted a detailed investigation of previous research, making literature research one of the research methods. The collection procedure took into account not only databases but also hand searches, and the paper was constructed based on carefully selected papers and was carried out in good faith. The analysis and classification of the literature was also carried out quantitatively and qualitatively. In particular, in the qualitative analysis, categories and subcategories were formed inductively to derive the argument. It is expected that the paper will be recognized as having follow-up value in this field and will become a stepping stone for wider research in the future.

Last year, Liao Shitong (graduated from the doctoral program, currently a lecturer at Yamagata University, supervised by Ishizaki Kazuhiro) also received the same award.
