The 2nd Arts Support Study Group will be held as follows:

Our guest this time is Masato Nakamura (artist/professor at Tokyo University of the Arts), general director of the Chiba International Art Festival 3, an art festival held every three years.

There will be a lecture on citizen-participation art and involvement with the local community.

If you are interested in the connections between art and society, and between art and the community, please join us.


Event Outline

  • Date and Time: July 2025, 7 (Thursday) 3:16-30:17 (doors open 45 minutes before)

  • Place:University of Tsukuba, Physical Education and Arts Area Academic Building B203 (In principle, face-to-face)
    *For those attending in person, the classroom has changed!
    *Participants from outside the university can also participate online (Zoom).

  • Entry fee:free

  • Public transportation: Take the Tsukuba University circular bus (clockwise) from Tsukuba Center, get off at Daigaku Nishi bus stop, and walk for 5 minutes
    For those driving by car, please use the large car park at Taigei Nishi.

At Art Front Gallery with Mr. Fram Kitagawa, general director of the art festivalNorthern Alps International Art FestivalWe will invite Ms. Midori Nomura, who is involved in coordinating the production of this work and is involved in the secretariat, to give a lecture.
